QuonticBank Celebrates the Opening of Its First Branch

The public is invited to join QuonticBank in celebrating the opening of their first branch. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 followed by a cocktail reception. Great Neck's Deputy Mayor, Ted Rosen, as well as the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce will participate in the ceremony.

Hailsham Town Mayor Supports Hailsham Lions Country Fayre

The Mayor of Hailsham Councillor Robin Kempe will be starting off the proceedings at 12 noon for the 2nd annual Game & Country Fayre, and will officially open the ‘arena’ with a few words. The newly crowned Hailsham Carnival Queen will also be in attendance.

The event offers a range of exciting activities for all the family, including a Punch & Judy side show and to keep people going, there will be a BBQ and other refreshments. There will be over 150 traditional stalls, including local crafts, specialist food and drink and an Italian food market.

This celebration will be well attended by various community leaders and elected city officials. The keynote speaker will be Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Cunningham, and words of inspiration given by Bishop Lacy K. Sykes, Jr. of Crossword Christian Church.

This event is free to the public and will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. A program will be from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Over 20 Authors are expected to attend this event. Marlborough, MA Downtown Meeting Successfully Brings Diverse Group Together to Discuss Downtown Issues

Marlborough Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) hosted a downtown Meeting on March 2 which saw important city figures including Mayor Stevens and Chief of Police Mark Leonard, downtown business owners and interested citizens gathering to discuss and tackle key downtown issues. The meeting was held at Main Street Café in Downtown Marlborough thanks to restaurant owners Randy and Mary Scott who opened the café after hours for this meeting. Their establishment has been a landmark on Main Street for over 25 year.

Attorney Palacios Appointed to Riverside Metropolitan Museum Board

Riverside corporate, business and real estate attorney Elio Palacios, Jr., announced today that he has been appointed to the Riverside Metropolitan Museum Board. The Riverside City Council, at its January 19, 2010, meeting, approved the recommendation of the Mayor’s Nominating and Screening Committee and appointed Palacios to the Museum Board. Palacios took the oath of office at the March 2, 2010, City Council meeting and will serve for a term of four years.

Asian American Journalists Association to Convene in Boston

The Asian American Journalists Association will bring its 20th annual convention to Boston, starting Wednesday and running through Saturday (Aug. 12-Aug. 15). More than 700 journalists and other media professionals from around the country are expected to attend the conference, which takes places at the Seaport Hotel and the World Trade Center.
