Riverside corporate, business and real estate attorney Elio Palacios, Jr., announced today that he has been appointed to the Riverside Metropolitan Museum Board. The Riverside City Council, at its January 19, 2010, meeting, approved the recommendation of the Mayor’s Nominating and Screening Committee and appointed Palacios to the Museum Board. 27 year old Montrealer, Yajaira Mercedes of the Dominican Republic won the title of Miss Latina Canada 2010 at the only national event in the country for the Hispanic community in Canada. This is the first time both Quebec and the Dominican Republic community has been honored with this national title.
